I’ll be honest and say I’m not much of a fan of hazelnuts. So when asked to make something out of hazelnut rocks, I had to think about how I could make them more delicious for myself. On a warm summer evening, I knew and decided to make hazelnut caramel rocks. I can have hazelnuts in combination with caramel and chocolate, so the recipe was invented. Hazelnut rocks are incredibly easy to make and an ideal recipe to follow this weekend.
An even better recipe for hazelnut rocks, namely hazelnut-caramel rocks. This combination is very tasty and the rocks are very easy to make.
SERVES: 10 pieces
How To Make Chocolate Hazelnuts Recipe
200 grams of chocolate
60 grams of hazelnuts
60 grams of caramel fudge
Put two-thirds of the milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl and melt it au bain-marie. When all the chocolate has melted, remove the bowl from the heat and add the remaining chocolate. Keep stirring until everything has melted.
Cut the caramel fudge into small pieces, no bigger than the hazelnuts, and add to the chocolate together with the hazelnuts. Make sure the chocolate is evenly distributed all over and now scoop rocks, or small heaps, of this mixture onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Let the chocolate harden.
If the temperature in the house is too high, you can put the baking tray in the fridge to harden the chocolate.
Storage: put the hazelnut caramel rocks in a closed container in a dry and cool place for about a week. You can eat the hazelnut-caramel rocks yourself with a cup of tea or coffee, but you can of course also put them in a nice plastic bag and give them away as a gift.
